(2) Court having jurisdiction to grant certificate -Sec.371

The District Judge within whose jurisdiction the deceased ordinarily resided at the time of his death, or, if it at that time he had no place of residence, the District Judge, within whose jurisdiction any part of the deceased may be found, may grant a certificate under this Part.


Simplified Version

(2) Court having jurisdiction to grant certificate - Sec.371

The succession certificate to a person can be granted by the district judge under whose jurisdiction the dead person resided or secondly if there was no place of residence found, than the judge issuing the succession certificate to the successor will be the one where the owner of that property died.
